I thoroughly enjoyed the short stories and poetry. The illustrations were beautiful. It will become a yearly Christmas read.
This book is a work of art in every way. The 12" hardcover has the same beautiful design directly on the front cover as well as the dust jacket. The art inside is wonderfully selected with such thoughtfulness to start the book with "Christmas eve" scene of a sleigh going into town then ending the book with the related "Christmas morn" scene of the sleigh leaving town. The selected poems and stories are beautiful, inspiring, and comforting; everything the title gives hope of. Would make a great gift to oneself or a friend.
This beautiful collection will become an heirloom in our family. I look forward to reading these stories and admiring the lovely art as an integral part of our Christmas tradition for years to come.

This is a darling collection of all things Christmas, sweet, wholesome, beautiful, true and lovely. I read the book in its entirety in one sitting, enveloped In Montgomery’s snowy faith-filled Christmasy world, and when it was over I wasn’t ready to leave. I adored the careful selection of poems, shorts stories and Anne stories, all placed, in my opinion, in perfect order.
